Preheating furnaces use substantial amounts of expensive fossil fuels (LDO/Natural Gas). Substantial energy consumption accompanying the heat treatment processes lead to the significant carbon footprint. On an industrial scale, where the volume of the treated material is large, it means high consumption of fossil fuels associated with proportional operating cost and environmental impact.
S-Watt Gasifier produces methane rich syngas of high heating value (9-11 MJ/m3). This syngas can be used in place of fossil fuels like L.D.O/CNG. Thus, expensive liquid/gas fuels can be effectively replaced by low cost wood/Biomass without any changes in operations, temperature profile, temperature control and cleanliness in the plant area.
